Visas for India

Before applying for a visa please ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended return date and is in a tidy condition and has at least two adjacent blank pages.

The Indian Visa application process has recently changed and the Indian High Commission has outsourced the issuing of Visas to V.F Services (UK) Ltd ("VFS").

Whether you decide to apply via VFS directly or if you choose to use the services of a visa agency, Jewel in the Crown Holidays are pleased to recommend CIBT, please ensure you read all instructions very carefully.

SECTION 1

CIBT specialises in fast, dependable visa application services with 50 years experience behind them. We have negotiated a very reasonable fee of £82.32 which includes visa fee, handling fees and return postal costs).

CIBT will also accept hand written applications and transfer the information to an online application on your behalf for a very small fee (£2+VAT per application).

SECTION 2

Before you begin your application, please check the Indian High Commission website www.hcilondon.in for up-to-date application procedures.

Visa forms can be completed online at the following website: http://in.vfsglobal.co.uk

There are two ways in which you can apply for a visa from VFS; in person or by post. Please ensure you read all information on the VFS website carefully as applications are now dealt with on a regional basis. Visa applications can be made up to 3 months before you are due to travel to India. We suggest that you apply at least 8 weeks before you are due to travel as it can take 2-3 weeks to process your visa application.

You will be required to provide two referees in India when applying for your visa. We suggest you use the following:

When your passports are returned to you please make sure that they have been validated with the relevant visa and that all of the information is correct.
