Kas

Kas is an area which has thankfully changed very little over the last 10 years. There is a lot to see here from civilisations of past centuries including the tombs dotted throughout the town and the amphitheatre with its magnificent views.

If you enjoy walking, venture off around the Peninsula and take a closer look at the Greek island of Mais, alternatively you can go there by boat on a day trip. Walking along the harbour with the sea behind you, look up to the mountains that cradle Kas to see the figure of a man, laying on his side, screaming. Mythology suggests that he was separated from his pregnant lover, now a figure trapped in time on a Greek island in the Mediterranean.

The streets are full of little shops, white-washed houses, cafés, restaurants and bars, and we love the village tea garden located centrally, the perfect place to relax as you watch the world go by. A trip to Myra is often undertaken by guests, the home and Church of St. Nicholas, (our Father Christmas!), and the sunken City of Kekova is a site not to be missed.

Most of our hotels are located by the Kucuk Cakil ('Small Pebble') Beach which is made mainly of sunbathing terraces over the sea and are also close to the Big Pebble Beach which has a café serving food and drink throughout the day. New additions to our programme include superb hotels on the attractive Kas Peninsula — Kas is a wonderfully relaxed resort with stunning scenery.
