An approximate 10-15 minute walk
from the centre of Kalkan, this superb pension is an
absolute delight. It encaptures traditional styles
with varnished wooden floors and staircases,
kilims, and floor cushions creating comfortable
seating areas. The Lizo Pension is owned by
husband and wife, Mehmet and Gulsen and
their son, Ali, and they have been working with
British guests for the past 12 years.
The cosy
atmosphere here is what attracts the majority of
guests, it is easy to feel at home and it is clear to
see that this simple pension has achieved a
standard of quality purely by the amount of love
and attention it has received. The rooftop
restaurant/bar has an excellent reputation for
its Turkish cuisine, is featured in the Rough
Guide to Turkey, and has fantastic views over
Kalkan, the harbour, the mountains and the sea.
There is an adequate swimming pool between
three blocks of accommodation to the rear of
the property, surrounded by olive trees. Sunbeds
are arranged around the pool-side and we really
feel that this property is ideal for adults wanting
to experience and appreciate a more ethnic type
of holiday in a friendly environment. We do not
recommend the Lizo Pension for children. Safety
deposit boxes are available (payable locally).
Rooms are mainly double-bedded
with some twins and triples available. All have an air-conditioning
facility (payable locally), en-suite
shower & WC and all have a balcony. Board is
offered on a Bed & Turkish Breakfast basis.
25 rooms in 3 blocks on 2 floors.
