Jewel in the Crown Holidays are delighted to welcome Indian Ocean Cruises to our long established India programme. We highly recommend this unique opportunity to visit and enjoy the still virtually, unspoiled areas of the world, in comfortable surroundings aboard MS Ocean Odyssey.

Sailing south, we follow the ancient spice routes calling at India's trading ports of Mangalore and Cochin and the beautiful unspoilt island of Suheli in the Lakshadweep chain, before eventually arriving in Sri Lanka and the bustling, historic city of Colombo. Before returning to Goa, we visit Trivandrum and take one last opportunity to revel in the crystal clear waters of the Lakshadweeps, this time stopping at the island of Cheriyam.

Days onboard can be either energetic, working out in the fitness centre, or totally relaxing, with a pampering session in the spa, enjoying a talk on local wildlife and upcoming events or tucked away in the library, catching up on all those books you meant to read. Meal menus, whether a beach barbeque or formal dining in the Seven Seas restaurant, are varied and take advantage of the best of local specialities and international cuisine. After dinner, relax in the bar area with newfound friends or dance to live music in the nightclub.

If you are an experienced 'Cruiser' then this should be seen as a way to visit otherwise inaccessible destinations. This traditional ship is informal and relaxed and the cruise experience is more of an exploration and adventure type holiday in small numbers rather than the standard cruise experience onboard large cruise ships.

Please be aware that due to Zodiac landings on the unspoilt beaches, this cruise is not suitable for disabled clients or those with walking difficulties. Bookings will only be confirmed on receipt of a signed medical declaration.
