Recently acquired by The Leela, the Kovalam Beach (formerly Le Meridien Kovalam Beach) has undergone final renovations and refurbishment, bringing the hotel up to the exacting standards of the Leela Group. The hotel has an unrivalled location in an elevated position on the cliff face and affords stunning views out over the beach and out to sea.

The main complex houses the Beach view superior and deluxe rooms, the main swimming pool with surrounding furnished sun terrace, the Terrace restaurant, which has indoor and outdoor seating, open-style kitchen and pizza oven complemented by the adjoining bar. For the fitness fanatics, the fitness centre has state-of-the-art gym equipment, a tennis and badminton court floodlit for night games (extra charge) and a jogging track.

Access to the private section of beach with sun beds and sunshades is via a number of steps and quite steep pathway, alternatively the hotel operates a buggy shuttle throughout the day to the beach. In the evenings there is a regular live band and other occasional entertainment will also be organised. Room service and laundry service are also available. The Club is situated adjacent to the main complex and has its own reception, an al fresco restaurant, bar, library, lounge and swimming pool, all for exclusive use by Club guests. Club guests also receive complimentary internet access at the business centre, DVD/CD menu, one body massage per person per stay and complimentary tea, coffee and soft beverages served at the Club Lounge throughout the day.

The beautifully appointed Beach view rooms are all air-conditioned, have en-suite shower & WC, telephone, satellite TV, mini-bar (soft drinks only), tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and sea-facing balcony or terrace. The Beach view deluxe rooms have the same facilities but have a larger terrace with outdoor shower. Club rooms have similar facilities as Beach view. Accommodation is offered on bed and breakfast basis.
