This charming little guesthouse is in a great location and has proved to be a popular choice. Directly in front of the Shruti is a coconut grove which is the shortcut that leads down to the beach with its restaurants, beach shacks, sunbeds and umbrellas. For those who know Goa, the Shruti is located behind the Resorte de Tio Carmino, down the lane leading to the beach and next to the popular Little Italy Restaurant. It took us just five minutes to walk to the beach passing lots of little restaurants and stalls along the way. The Shruti also has a lovely little restaurant called 'Roma', which has become a sophisticated meeting place, serving the best Italian food we have ever eaten in Goa. This hotel is low-key with friendly staff and is a good base, close to the beach and some of Calangute's best shops.

The recently renovated twin-bedded rooms have air-conditioning, ceiling fan, en-suite shower & WC and a balcony. Televisions and fridges are on request, subject to availability and payable locally. Safety deposit boxes are available to hire in reception for a small local charge and there is even an internet connection - although we offer no promises about the local telephone service! The rooms are all offered on a Bed & Continental Breakfast basis. This is a delightful little hotel with friendly staff — ideal for beach lovers.

16 rooms on 2 floors (1st & 2nd).

Transfer time (approx) : 60 minutes.
